Hi ladies! Came across a super fun little Google search.
This is Fun!

If you type an animals name into Google (on an iPhone or android) and then press ‘View in 3D’. It brings up your camera and then 30 seconds later you have a tiger in your house! You can take a photo of the kids with them and they can walk around it. You can also find a:
Lion
Tiger
Cheetah
Shark
Hedgehog
Duck
Emperor penguin
Wolf
Angler fish
Goat
Rottweiler
Snakes
Eagle
Brown bear
Alligator
Horse
Shetland pony
Macaw
Pug
Turtle
Cat
Octopus
Dog

Thinking some of you should grab the spouse and get creative to surprise the kids tomorrow!😂

This one is for you parents. Be kind to yourself. We're all in this together!

Check-in from Mr. Clarke on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

03/13/2020

Dear North Andover School Community,

Based on recommendations from North Andover’s COVID-19 Joint Task Force, the Town Manager, and the Director of Public Health, and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to take proactive measures to slow the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus.

We have made the decision to close all North Andover Public Schools starting Saturday, March 14, 2020. Schools will remain closed through Sunday, March 29, 2020. It is important for families to understand that this is an initial determination. It is possible that this may lead to a longer closure.

This closure applies to all North Andover Public schools, extra-curricular activities, the extended day before/after school care, athletics, clubs, and building use.

Regardless of the length of our district closure, DESE has determined that the last day of school for NAPS this year will be Friday, June 19th.

While we are closed:

To make up the 2 days required by the state to fulfill our 180-day requirement we will utilize Beyond The Classroom

In addition to Beyond the Classroom, NAPS will provide additional suggested enrichment activities to keep learning alive during this time

Administrators will be available at school offices on Monday March 16 and Tuesday March 17 from 9:00 to 12:00 in the event a family member needs to pick up belongings or essentials from the nurse

Our custodial staff will be cleaning and disinfecting all school

Dr. Mealey is working with Erika Murphy from Food Services on Lunch Alternatives during this closure for students who receive Free/Reduced Lunch. Information will be forthcoming

As we move through next week, we will communicate additional details about our closure. We recognize that this is unprecedented and that this closure may be a significant burden for members of our community. Please know that we remain committed to supporting you to the greatest extent possible during this time.

Town Health officials emphasize that closing our schools are only a part of the broader solution to prevent community spread of this virus. If students and families continue to meet together in groups outside of school, this closure will not have the desired impact. It is critical that students and families refrain from meeting in large groups and to practice social distancing as recommended by the CDC.

If you need support, please contact your school principal or central office. Questions about the town's response or about the illness, in general, can be sent to [email protected]. Residents who need to contact the Health Department regarding exposure and quarantine should call directly at 978-688-9543. Here is the link to the North Andover March 13 Coronavirus Update.

Sincerely,

Dr. Gregg T Gilligan, Superintendent
