Between his sports management classes at Merrimack, Domenico Ternullo ‘29 is either at the dojo for judo practice or lifting in the gym.

He's been training in judo since he was four years old, and this summer, that dedication brought him one step closer to his Olympic dreams. At the 2026 USA Judo Junior Olympic National Championship in Spokane, Wash., Domenico took home the gold medal and earned a spot on the USA Junior World Team.

This fall, he'll represent Team USA at the Junior World Championship in Uzbekistan.

Did you know Merrimack College's Social Cognition and Affective Neuroscience (SCAN) Lab studies how our experiences and other factors shape emotions, memories and behavior and how targeted interventions can improve them?

The SCAN Lab is seeking participants ages 18-35 who have sustained a concussion within the last month for an NIH-funded research study on the relationship between napping, emotions and concussions.

Merrimack College has received approval to launch three-year applied bachelor's degree programs, making it one of the first institutions in Massachusetts authorized to offer this new pathway to a college degree.

Beginning in spring 2027, students can enroll in select three-year applied bachelor's degree programs in business administration, criminal justice, psychology and communication.

This milestone reflects our longstanding commitment to expanding access, removing barriers and meeting the evolving needs of today's learners while preparing them for success in a changing world.

Meet recent civil engineering graduate Marissa Vinkels '26! She was drawn to Merrimack by the campus atmosphere and community, but her time in the classroom and connections with faculty fueled her ambition and helped shape her future.

Her professors challenged her in the classroom while introducing her to hands-on opportunities, including undergraduate research. These experiences inspired her to pursue a doctoral degree in civil engineering with the goal of becoming a college professor.
