To all my students,
For the past 49 years, my journey through being a student and training in Tae Kwon Do while deployed to South Korea (1972) ~ To the teaching of accredited courses @ MCLA for 24years .. Williams College for 18years / Owning & operating Berkshire Tae Kwon Do for close to 40 years ..
My decision to retire/step down from teaching and operating Berkshire School of Tae Kwon Do has been one of the more difficult processes I've had to go through in my life. But need to move on with my life and pursue other interests. So will be permanently closing the doors to the Berkshire School of Tae Kwon Do.
The teaching of Tae Kwon Do has affected my life in some of the most positive ways. I have seen, first hand the way Martial arts has changed my student's lives, as well as my own.
The success of Berkshire Tae Kwon Do since 1982 has been largely due to the thousands of great people that became students of the Martial Arts at Berkshire Tae Kwon Do ..
Would like to take this time to thank: Mr. Steve Mix (40yrs) .. Mr. Dave Philipps (30yrs ).. Ms. Lynn Gordon-Hughes (30yrs) & of recent, Mr. Jim Sisto for their contributions, along with all the other students that worked hard enough to become Black Belts at our Studio; ( No easy task ), for all that they brought you to the Studio. Their wonderful creative ways of contributing to our curriculum, classes, & workouts created such a great reputation for our Studio over the many decades of operation.
With Deep Regrets, But with Many ~ Many fond memories,
Jeff Hughes
