What is an underrated spot on campus, or any underrated thing at MCLA?

“The garden area behind FCSI is an awesome study spot! When the weather is nice, the sun warms up the rock slabs, which are perfect for spreading out papers and books. It’s also a great place for finding solitude outdoors on campus because it’s not as busy as the quad, and the building shields you from the wind so it’s not as cold and papers don’t blow away as much. Plus, Prof. Shustack and his students have a bunch of bird feeders and birdhouses hanging around the area, so it’s a lovely place to sit and connect with nature as well!” Abby Abrahamson ‘22 (Environmental Studies and Sociology)

What is one of the happiest moments you’ve had on campus?

“It was my birthday right before the pandemic shut everything down. We randomly had a cold break and it was 70° in early March. Everyone was laying in the quad, classes were moving outside, me and my friends played some frisbee while there was music playing. I even got sushi that night and ate it outside on the hill of Hoosac with my friends. Best way to celebrate a birthday honestly.” - Jack Vezeris ‘23 (Psychology and music)

How have you been able to activate your passion at MCLA? How so?
“I think I have. I am going to school and majoring in something I consider my passion. I love to practice and perform my craft as much as I can and MCLA has given me the opportunity to do so. But I do have to say, I have also activated other passions and paths of interest throughout my time at MCLA as well.” - Caitlyn Falzone ‘23 (Performing Arts)

What is one memory/memorable experience you have at MCLA?

“Being in the Berkshires and watching the seasons change makes you appreciate it more - especially in fall with the new semester and everyone reuniting is my favorite time of year.” - Sam Herrington ‘22 (History and Secondary Education)
