If your child is going to be in third or fourth grade in September, they can learn to play an instrument. Third grade students can learn a stringed instrument (violin, viola or cello). Fourth grade students can learn a band or orchestra instrument (violin, viola, cello, flute clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or snare drum (school drums have all been reserved and are not available). The time to register your child is now!

During library class, our third grade students had the opportunity to meet Jason Schein, a paleontologist with Elevation Science Institute. Mr. Schein walked the students through the steps of uncovering fossils and his love of exploring. They got to touch a fossil jacket containing a 150 million year old dinosaur bone, a 65 million year old oyster shell, float (piece of dinosaur bone), and a megalodon tooth! It was such a cool and memorable experience for our students. If you have a love of fossils and want to follow Mr. Schein's work, check out 2026 Fossil Jacket Sponsorship. We can't wait to see Whitehall's name on a fossil jacket!

Tomorrow is Field Day at Whitehall and it's going to be warm and sunny so here are some suggestions to prepare your child so they can have the best day ever!
1. Wear sneakers and shorts.
2. Wear a short sleeve shirt so their shoulders are protected from the sun.
3. Put sunscreen on your child before coming to school.
4. Bring a water bottle or plastic bottle of water. Please put their name on it.
5. If they don't want the sun on their face they can wear a hat. Please put their name on it.
The kids will be outside for 90 minutes in the morning, then inside for lunch and a break, and outside for an hour followed by water ice.
