Last Friday, the 2nd grade students traveled to Longwood Gardens for a field trip outside-the flowers were in bloom, the fountains were flowing, and the trees were just starting to change colors for fall. We loved being able to look at the pollinators such as bees and moths up close with our magnifying glasses, and see the colors change in the waterfall in the grotto. It was a great day!

Hancock Elementary School is helping kids with special hearts through Kids Heart Challenge. Your family will also learn lifesaving skills, including how to call 911 in an emergency and how to B.E. F.A.S.T. when someone is having a
stroke.

You can help by completing Finn’s Mission. When your student completes all the steps, they’ll earn their lifesaver medal and earn a chance to win two tickets to Super Bowl LXII in 2028! Sign up today at http://www2.heart.org/goto/hancocknasd or using the Heart Schools app.

📚✨ Drop Everything and Read! ✨📚

Today, our students took a break from the hustle and bustle of the school day to DROP EVERYTHING AND READ! 📖❤️

Our classrooms were filled with students getting lost in books, building their reading stamina, and enjoying the magic of a good story. From fiction to nonfiction, every page is an opportunity to learn, imagine, and grow!

🌟 Readers grow stronger every day—one page at a time! 📚💪

🍎🥪 A Special Lunch for Our 4th Graders! 🎉

Our 4th grade students had a special treat today! After working hard and showing great effort in the classroom, they got to enjoy lunch in the classroom with their teachers, along with some extra snacks to celebrate their hard work! 💙📚

We’re so proud of their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitudes. What a fun way to recognize all their effort! Keep up the great work, 4th grade! 🌟👏
