Recess teamed up with Montgomery County Intermediate Unit's Environmental Mobile Unit (EMU) for a nature walk at Gwynedd Preserve.

Leigh Keiser shared tips for engaging with nature and the “Leave No Trace” principles. Families then explored the Preserve’s trails.

MVP Recess joined the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit's Environmental Mobile Unit (EMU) at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove for a nature tour this past weekend. Students looked for birds, deer, and bees during their walk.

The MVP Team was thrilled to share our program with attendees at the MCIU Learns ELD Synergy Event held at MCIU this week. This event brought together educators involved in English Language Development (ELD) with a focus on fostering synergy and collaboration to enhance instructional practices and support for Multilingual Learners in K-12 education.

Our students had a fantastic visit from Elmwood Park Zoo and were joined by Azule, the blue and yellow macaw!
They asked great questions about her diet, sleep, habitat, and even if she could talk!

This weekend, our team was joined by our students and their families to explore the Legoland Discovery Center and participate in hands-on learning and fun! Thanks to CCRES for their generous grant to help fund our MVP Recess program.

Today, MVP students met with children's author Sam Wedelich for MVP Recess. Sam led the students through illustrating and captioning their own stories. Students were reminded about the power of creativity and how every voice matters! Thanks to Sam for another amazing recess adventure, and thanks to our grant from CCRES for funding this MVP Recess.

MVP Recess welcomed author, Jennifer Swanson Books, to share her exciting book Save the Crash Test Dummies. Students learned all about automobile history, safety, and the exciting life of a crash test dummy. Thanks to our generous grant from CCRES that supports Recess!

It's always a great day when your virtual recess guest is a porcupine! Thanks to Elmwood Park Zoo and our generous grant from CCRES for providing this awesome learning experience for our students.

MVP hosted our families at the Elmwood Park Zoo this Sunday for a gorgeous and fun day of animal exploration. A great time was had by all! We love seeing our students and their families, and we can't wait for our next big event.

Yesterday, hosted our first virtual field trip of the school year. The giraffes from Elmwood Park Zoo joined us, Our students were taken behind the scenes into the feeding and sleeping areas of the giraffes. These amazing animals were up close and personal with the camera, and our students asked many questions and learned amazing new giraffe facts!

Thanks to our generous grant from CCRES, we are excited for more recess programming this year!

With its extensive K-12 programming and innovative approaches to personalized online learning, MVP continues to grow year after year, serving school districts across Montgomery County and Southeastern Pennsylvania.
