This summer during Extended School Year, our Transition students worked on strengthening their job skills through creative, hands-on learning experiences.
As part of their Manufacturing & Production rotation, students learned about workplace safety, personal protective equipment, and the safe operation of a compound miter saw. They also gained experience measuring, marking, and cutting cedar wood as they built picket fence planter boxes.
In just four days, students measured, marked, cut, sanded, stained, painted, and sealed their projects from start to finish. It was a valuable opportunity to develop technical skills while creating something they were proud to take home.
Great work, students! 🙌
