We took a group of future Mavs to Anderson County High School "Home of the Mavs" for a tour and a pep rally broke out! Thank you Mrs. Fisher for always being willing to show our 8th graders around. These small group tours do SO MUCH to ease the nerves for our kids when it comes to transitioning to high school. Getting to hear that fight song was icing on the cake!

We want to take a minute to celebrate and congratulate Mr. Calhoun, who was chosen as our 2026-27 Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Cox, who was selected as our 2026-27 Novice Teacher of the Year!

These honors are such a wonderful reflection of the dedication, passion, and impact they have on our students and our school. We are incredibly proud of both of them and so thankful for all they do for our Senators!

Please join us in giving Mr. Calhoun and Mrs. Cox a BIG congratulations!

Our 8th grade scientists in Mrs. Bayne’s classroom were busy building electromagnets! Students got hands-on experience exploring how electricity and magnetism work together.

We love seeing our Senators learning through hands-on science!

Homecoming Week Wrap Up!

We ended last week with our middle school dance, and it was so great to see so many of our Senators come out and have a great time! It was one of our biggest middle school dances in a long time!

On Monday, our cheerleaders brought the energy with a Homecoming pep rally and got everyone ready to celebrate Homecoming and cheer on our Senators!

We are also so thankful for the representatives who joined us during Homecoming and helped raise money for Norris Middle Athletics. We appreciate their dedication to supporting our school and our student-athletes. Huge congratulations to our winner, Emily!

Our Senators capped it off with a WIN over William Blount!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Homecoming Week so special, including our PTO, Football Booster Moms, Homecoming representatives, parents, fans, cheerleaders, coaches, staff, volunteers, yearbook staff, and everyone who supported our students throughout the week. Your time, energy, generosity, and school spirit helped make this a wonderful week for our Senators, and we are so grateful!

What a great week to be a Senator!

The boys team narrowly missed qualifying but had a great year and showed continuous improvement. Congratulations Lady Senators, and good luck next week at State!
