A FULL-CIRCLE MOMENT IS COMING BACK TO RIDGEWOOD!

On Homecoming Friday, September 18, we are proud to celebrate the 2nd Annual Kindergarten–Senior Journey Walk at Ridgewood High School!

This is one of those moments that reminds us what being a Rebel is all about.

Our Class of 2027 seniors will begin their walk from one end of the field…

Our Kindergarten Class of 2039 will begin from the other…

And at midfield, the two generations will meet, representing the incredible journey from the first days of school to the final year of high school.

The seniors will pass a special pennant to our youngest Rebels as a symbol of the passing of the torch and the future of our Ridgewood community.

This is bigger than one football game.

It is about tradition. Family. Growth. Memories. Community. And Rebel Pride.

We want our families, alumni, staff, students, and community members lining the field and filling the stands to help make this a moment these kids will remember forever.

THIS IS RIDGEWOOD. THIS IS WHAT OPPORTUNITY LOOKS LIKE.

When we talk about preparing students for life after high school, the results speak for themselves.

#1 School in Illinois for Students Taking Dual Credit Courses
89% Postsecondary Enrollment
Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best High Schools in the Nation

And then take a look at where our students have gone.

From local colleges and universities to some of the most respected institutions in the country, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Michigan, Purdue, Vanderbilt, and so many more.

Every name on this graphic represents an opportunity earned, a door opened, and another example of what Ridgewood students can accomplish.

We may be a smaller school, but our students are leaving a BIG footprint across Illinois and throughout the country.

This is more than a list of colleges.

This is years of hard work.
This is academic opportunity.
This is student success.
This is RIDGEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL.

Friday Night Football at Ridgewood!

Join us this Friday, August 28 at 7:00 PM as the Ridgewood Rebels take on Jones College Prep.

This will be a special Senior Night as we celebrate the seniors from both programs. We also want to recognize Jones College Prep in its first year of high school football and acknowledge the seniors who are helping lead the way in this important beginning for their program.

We hope our community comes out to support not only our Rebels, but also the student-athletes from both schools who have put in the time, effort, and commitment to represent their teams the right way.

Come out for a great night of football and help us create a memorable atmosphere for both senior classes.

Scan the QR code on the graphic to purchase tickets.

We are proud to share some exciting news for Ridgewood High School!

Ridgewood has been recognized in the September 2026 issue of Chicago Magazine as one of the Best Public High Schools in Suburban Cook County, earning the #20 ranking among this distinguished group of schools.

This recognition reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and the entire Ridgewood community. Chicago Magazine’s rankings considered factors including ACT proficiency and growth, consistent attendance, and graduation rate.

To be included alongside so many outstanding schools is something our entire community should be proud of.

Proud of where we are. Excited about where we are going.
