In 1915, thirteen women formed a local sorority that they named Phi Chi. By November 1916, these women petitioned Delta Gamma for a charter. The Alpha Iota chapter of Delta Gamma was then installed on June 3rd and 4th, 1918, becoming the sixth sorority on the University of Oklahoma campus. Since Alpha Iota’s installation, we have continued to serve our university, community and Foundation.

SISTER SPOTLIGHT ✨
Jordan Clements, Aviation Major, MC 21

Heyy I’m Jordan Clements and I’m a sophomore aviation major from Orange County, California! I started my flight training freshman year and since then I’ve gotten my private pilot’s license, instrument rating, and after this semester I will have my commercial license. Next semester I will be taking the certificated flight instructor course, and if it weren’t for my sisters in Delta Gamma and all of those in the aviation program, I don’t think I would be even half the pilot I am today. The women of Delta Gamma constantly support me through the ups and downs of my aviation career and I’m incredibly thankful for them all🤍

“I chose DG because it felt like a home away from home! the minute I stepped into DG I immediately felt so welcomed. every single girl i’ve talked to has made me feel so special and loved.
