Congratulations to our OU-Tulsa 2026 graduates! We had an amazing time celebrating them Tuesday evening at OU's first of many Commencement ceremonies this week! SO PROUD! 🥹

Division of Access & Opportunity Student Spotlight: Rachel Asamoah '27

When Rachel came to as an international and first-generation student, it was a step into the unfamiliar, carrying the weight of sacrifice, responsibility, and high expectations.

Then something shifted.

“At OU," she says, "I have found room to grow beyond survival and into purpose.”

Now a master’s student in Human Resources Studies, she’s living that purpose every day. As a Graduate Assistant in the Instructional & Professional Development Center, she helps design career-readiness and professional-development programs that support other graduate students on their journeys.

She also serves as interim President of the .ou, creating space for connection and community on campus.

For her, OU is where she’s building the confidence, skills, and perspective to contribute beyond campus.
