We are excited to share that the Academic Aspire Program, organized by the INFORMS OU Student Chapter, was a huge success this summer!

We had the honor of hosting participants from 45 different universities across the U.S. and abroad. It was a wonderful experience to bring together so many aspiring scholars and provide them with valuable insights and guidance on their academic journeys. A special thank you to our esteemed speakers: Dr. Sofía Pérez-Guzmán (Georgia Tech), Dr. Emily Tucker, PhD (Clemson University), Dr. Pankhuri Malhotra (University of Oklahoma), Dr. Ann Melissa Campbell (University of Iowa), Dr. Laura Albert (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Dr. Jun Zhuang (University at Buffalo). Your contributions made this program incredibly valuable for all who attended.

A huge thank you to Dr. Sofía Pérez-Guzmán and Dr. Emily Tucker, PhD for their outstanding presentations on crafting research and teaching statements. Your insights and practical examples were incredibly valuable.

We spent our day at Citizens Caring for Children in Oklahoma City, where we engaged in various activities to support their mission. It was a day full of learning, giving, and connecting with others. We're hosting Mayank Jayant Bhalerao, a Ph.D. student from the University of Oklahoma, who will talk about solving complex problems in society and technology. He’s supervised by Drs. Janet Allen and Farrokh Mistree.
