Members of the OU Law faculty and staff recently attended The Sovereignty Symposium, hosted by Oklahoma City University Law. It was great to meet up with a number of our MLS/LL.M. Indigenous Peoples' Law alumni attending the conference.

It was an honor to celebrate Governor Anoatubby alongside conference attendees and to learn from the many judges, practitioners, and scholars who contributed their insights throughout the conference.

OU Law's Competitions Program capped off a remarkable year with a No. 19 national ranking from the Blakely Advocacy Institute, reflecting a season defined by record participation, national recognition, and outstanding advocacy performances across the country ☝️

According to the Association of American Law Schools, the University of Oklahoma College of Law ranks No. 34 in the nation in overall bar-passage rate and No. 25 for 2-year ultimate bar-passage rate.

Today, we celebrate Dean Katheleen Guzman and thank her for more than 30 years of extraordinary service to OU Law.

As a professor, mentor, dean, and friend, she has shaped generations of students and strengthened the University of Oklahoma College of Law community in lasting ways.

We will miss her deeply, but we are proud to wish her every success as she begins her next chapter as Interim Dean of the University of Arkansas School of Law.
