Headed to graduate school next year or applied for a post-baccalaureate program? If so, our chapter would like to extend this offer from Phi Kappa Phi!
The Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship provides 57 Phi Kappa Phi students with $5,000 - $15,000 to apply to their first year of graduate school. Each chapter provides one applicant and with just over 300 chapters throughout the nation, a high percentage of students benefit from the commitment Phi Kappa Phi makes to continuing education. Applications for this award are due to our local chapter by Friday March 31, 2017. Local applications should be submitted to Dr. Lisa Portwood in Wagner Hall, Room 180 on the Norman campus.
In addition to the national fellowship, our local chapter provides six smaller awards of $100 to the top fellowship applicants at OU. So, even if a student is not selected to represent our chapter as the University of Oklahoma nominee, that student may be eligible for a small award from our chapter.

If you have already graduated and earned at least 9 hours of graduate credit, fear not, you may still be eligible for the $500 Love of Learning Award. The award is designed to fund post-baccalaureate students and other opportunities including graduate or professional studies, dissertations, continuing education and others related to teaching or continued studies.

Hello OU PKP! Although being an active member of Phi Kappa Phi requires only that one continue to pay their dues, there are numerous benefits to staying involved with your local Phi Kappa Phi chapter. One of those benefits is the opportunity to participate in the Cleveland County Crop Walk, an event that occurs this Sunday, October 18 at 2 PM in Norman. In the past, we have had many Phi Kappa Phi members participate in this wonderful event.
What is the CROP Walk? It is a 3 mile walk around that begins at Food & Shelter, Inc. and takes the participants through central Norman and campus and returns to Food & Shelter, Inc. where there are hot dogs and other food for the participants. The primary goal is to raise money to eradicate hunger in our community and around the world. More than 2,000 walks occur throughout the United States during the fall, all with the goal to end hunger.
What's Required?
- You can walk for free! This is not a race, so all can go at their own pace! Take a break from studying, get some exercise or get to know some of the leaders at your Phi Kappa Phi chapter. Again, it is FREE to participate! Show your support by taking a bit of time and walking! Registration begins at 1:30 pm, so drag a friend with you and sign in as a Phi Kappa Phi member.
- Donate money on behalf of our Phi Kappa Phi chapter! If you cannot walk but would like to be involved in another way, you donate as a part of our team, or on your own!
