The Water Technologies for Emerging Regions (WaTER) Center is a grass roots, faculty led effort that began in 2006 at the University of Oklahoma.

The WaTER Center (Water Technologies for Emerging Regions) at The University of Oklahoma is dedicated to enhancing water research, education, and outreach locally and globally. The center was developed to meet a growing need for university-based programs with the personnel and abilities to play a key part in the international water supply and sanitation scene through the development and transfer of appropriate and sustainable water and sanitation solutions.

It was great to hear from OU researchers and Oklahoma practitioners about their important water-related work on OU Water Day!

OWRB staff attended OU's Water Day hosted by the Gallogly College of Engineering. Our very own Jessica Correll (pictured) gave a talk on water policy and governance, elaborating on the OWRB's permitting process and regulations. Thank you OU for hosting this event! If you would like to learn more about permitting, visit our site: oklahoma.gov/owrb/water-permitting.html
