OLLI offers the mature learners of Oklahoma a chance to participate in a wide variety of non-credit educational programs taught by OU faculty and staff.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Oklahoma, known as OLLI, offers non-credit programs for everyone age 50+. OLLI courses are offered in a wide range of subjects, with the purpose of giving participants an opportunity to learn in a challenging yet fun learning environment.
Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice have protected the freedoms we cherish every day.
For many in our community, this day carries personal memories—of loved ones, friends, and fellow service members. We honor their legacy and hold their stories close in our hearts.

The Brooklyn Bridge, which opened in 1883, spans the East River and connects the great cities of New York and Brooklyn for the first time in history. Thousands of residents of Brooklyn and Manhattan Island turned out to witness the dedication ceremony, which was presided over by President Chester A. Arthur and New York Governor Grover Cleveland. Designed by the late John A. Roebling, the Brooklyn Bridge was the largest suspension bridge ever built to that date.

Five years to the day that American aviator Charles Lindbergh became the first pilot to accomplish a solo, nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean, female aviator Amelia Earhart became the first pilot to repeat the feat, landing her plane in Ireland after flying across the North Atlantic. Earhart traveled over 2,000 miles from Newfoundland in just under 15 hours.
