It’s been awhile since we’ve posted! Our girl had her 8 year post transplant check today! Overall she is doing well, she’s having some lung issues and thyroid issues but we are working through those. Hard to believe that 8 years ago she was on TPN and still inpatient.
Now our girl is a Freshman in high school! Shes on the Esports team and raising funds for that program AND raising funds to go to France with her French class next summer! She is thriving through it all, making friends, planning her future and MOVING mountains all because of her donor.
If you feel so included to help her with one of those goals the link is below for esports.

Four years.
Four years ago we were in a hospital for 62 consecutive days. In one room. No visitors who could come and hug you. No brother visits for 62 days. 45 infusions of chemo. 12 blood transfusions. 10 plalete transfusions. 36 shots to boost your bodies white cells, clotting factors and to suppress your HLH. Countless medications. Countless more medications to fix the side effects. One pain pump. THOUSANDS of prayers to a GOD I wasn't sure I believed in. A 40% shot to make it through this with you surviving with absolutely no health issues in the long run if it went perfectly. (Which of course it didnt.)
22 surgeries. 38 epi pens. 450 days spent in or at a hospital. 720 days of TPN. (720 days of not eating anything by mouth) 720 days of having to carry around bags of iv fluids that were keeping you alive. 620(ish days) of 300mg of IV benadryl a day just to keep you from having an allergic reaction. THOUSANDS of hours and days researching how to advocate, and how to help.
1460 days ago you got the treatment that saved your life. 1381 days ago you stopped TPN. 1450 days ago was your LAST infusions of iv benadryl. 1390 CONSECUTIVE days out of the hospital.
35,040. The hours that I just want to Thank her donor.
You did it Yz!

Tomorrow it will be 4 years since Yzzy had her transplant.
Tomorrow a child who has undergone 3 bone marrow transplants will receive his 4th steam cells for a 4th transplant. We hope that Tomorrow is just as lucky for him as it was for Yz. This weekend Yzzy made her 1st hat that represents the first 154 hours after her transplant and we will be sending it to him. They were in the hospital together throughout her treatment and her transplant.
Please send happy thoughts, vibes, prayers for their family.
These hats may be small but we hope they make a difference for all the kiddos who receive them. 💖💖
