Hey Normanites! Did you know that 'Taxi' services still exist in Norman? My name is Michael Friedman and I am a long-time Norman resident and community leader. Six years ago, I started a little company called I-Drive an Executive Car and Taxi Service in Norman. We are fully licensed and Insured with both the City of Norman and Oklahoma Corporation Commission. We also serve the surrounding rural communities. I don't do a lot of marketing because much of our business comes through referrals or word-of-mouth. So If you've never searched Taxi on Google, you may not know we exist. I see a lot of talk of Norman-on-demand (a company and city service, not actually based in Norman). They are there to services the OU Students population although most OU Students still prefer to use other services. I appreciate Norman-on-Demand for picking up the hours that we are sometimes not available; however, contrary to belief, they are not a Norman based company. If supporting local is important to you, I invite you take a look at I-Drive. We may not be always be the "cheap" option, but we are the better option. Also, we give priority to advanced bookings, so if you have somewhere important to be and prefer to plan ahead, then we may be a better option.
