Here is what McKinley has to say about her semester abroad and how it influenced her to become an SEA…

“Staying in Arezzo for a semester, I had the opportunity to experience all Italy had to offer and still feel close to home with other OU students. I experienced a deep level of cultural exchange by teaching at a local middle school, creating relationships with locals around town, and traveling all throughout Italy and embracing its deep history. Experiencing firsthand the connections OUA could create, I wanted to share my experience with other students upon my return to Norman. I believe everyone should study abroad, and as a SEA with the Education Abroad team I want everyone to pick the best option for them.”

“I studied in Puebla Mexico during the wintertime and in Arezzo Italy during the summer; both programs connected me with incredible people, locations, and intrapersonal learning experiences. Study abroad is life-changing in every sense of the word and has made my time at OU and in these countries unforgettable. If you see me on campus, ask me about it!”
