From Norman to Washington, D.C. ✈️

Students in the Executive MBA in Aerospace & Defense program recently traveled to Washington, D.C., where they explored the intersection of business, government and national security through site visits, strategy simulations and conversations with industry leaders.

Experiences like these prepare students to lead with confidence in an ever-evolving global landscape.

Our final study abroad spotlight takes us to Clermont-Ferrand, France. The group's activities included a hike to the top of Puy de Dôme, vineyard tour and wine tasting, visit to Murol Castle and Palace of Versailles, and a gondola ride to the top of the mountain at Chamonix. Business site visits included Michelin, Decathlon, Volvic, and the City Hall in Clermont-Ferrand (sister city to Norman). Price students were able to travel to Lyon, Chamonix, Vinchy, and Paris while in France.

Price Business Policy and Strategy Capstone students completed their study abroad in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. The group took a cooking class and visited the Aqueduct of Segovia, Alcázar of Segovia Castle, Picasso Museum, and Sagrada Família. During the four weeks in Spain, they explored to Barcelona, Segovia, Toledo, and Madrid. Business site visits included Inditex and DHL.

Last week, we had the honor of surprising two incredible Executive MBA in Aerospace & Defense alumni, Adam Pugh and Maurice Compton, with a permanent display at the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business. This display recognizes their lasting impact on our program.

After meeting in the EMBA program, Maurice founded Ready 3, and Adam later joined the team. The company continues to grow and make an impact in Oklahoma's aerospace and defense industry. Their success is a testament to what can happen when talented leaders come together with a shared vision.

It was a privilege to celebrate not only their accomplishments, but also their continued support of the EMBA program and the students who follow in their footsteps! ☝️

Price Finance & Accounting students wrapped up a great study abroad experience in Italy. The group spent time in Arezzo, Florence, and Rome. Activities included a pasta making class, vineyard tour, a climb up Brunelleschi's Dome, and a visit to the Forum.

Price Marketing students recently wrapped up an exciting study abroad experience in Japan. The program took place in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture and Kyoto, with the group also visiting Hiroshima, Nara and Tokyo. Activities included Kyo-Yuzen dyeing, feeding the bowing deer in Nara Park, the TeamLab Biovortex in Kyoto, and a chopstick making class. Additionally, the group visited Seika, a sister city of Norman, and went to town hall to meet with Mayor Masami Sugiura.
