A String Quartet joined OYSing! Cantare during Domine Fili Unigenite from Gloria at our We Are the Music Makers Spring Concert. The quartet consisted of Julie Warren and Sawyer Madden on violin, Chelsea Hart on cello, and April Webb on bass.

Adding a string quartet to a choir performance provides a rich sound without overpowering the singers.

The strings beautifully harmonize with the human voice, offering an enhanced emotional depth to the song.

Warming up together in the green room before our concerts does more than just prepare our voices, it sets the tone for the entire performance. This dedicated time allows singers to gently ease into their vocal range and ensure they are ready to step on stage. It creates a moment of focus and connection, helping them center themselves and feel confident before the performance.

Scholarship winners were announced and honored at our Spring Concert. We are so grateful to The Frederick, Kidd, Glover and Cox families for their generosity. Because of your kindness, young voices are lifted in song.

Your support has opened doors, built confidence, and created a space where each child can discover not only their musical gifts, but also their sense of belonging.
