A musical afternoon unfolded at McFarlin United Methodist as Chapter members presented a musical storytime for PreK–5th graders last week! From the moment the children settled in, their eyes lit up with each story—Khalida and the Most Beautiful Song, the story of a little girl who plays by ear, an unfolding of a musical friendship in The Cat Who Loved Mozart, and the inspiring journey of a bear who became a concert pianist in The Bear and the Piano 🎹✨ In Over the Meadow, children sang freely and moved with colorful scarves. 🍂🍃
Music featured included Mozart’s Piano Sonata K.545, Over in the Meadow, and Robert Schumann’s Rundesang, F***y Mendelssohn’s Songs with Words, Op. 8 No. 4, and Christopher Norton’s “Feeling Silly.” Thanks to all MTNA members who helped make this event a success!
