For some background information behind our topic, ‘Autonomous AI Enhanced Robotic Digital Dull Bit Forensics – A 4IR Technology’

Legacy dull bit grading produces data of limited value because it is subject to human interpretation and is therefore inconsistent and unreliable. The monumental task of sifting through and analyzing inconsistent reports with a half dozen blurry images per bit makes forensic analysis of bit wear extremely laborious and challenging. Moreover, attempting to overlay this data with WOB, RPM, ROP, and other relevant drilling data sets to assess bit performance is virtually impossible.

The grA+de – Digital Dull Bit Forensic Scanner system autonomously digitizes, grades, and allows for seamless integration with all EDR and analysis software packages. Digital twins can be created for proactive mitigation of drilling dysfunction and overall integrated optimization of future drills.
