OU Assistant Professor in the OU School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Hanping Ding, has led two groundbreaking studies advancing protonic ceramic electrochemical cells (PCECs) — a promising technology for hydrogen production and clean energy storage.
Published in journals from the Nature family, these studies address major challenges in electrochemical manufacturing and energy conversion efficiency.

The University of Oklahoma has a new Bergey wind turbine, the latest in a suite of industrial-scale equipment housed at the university’s OpenLab. The equipment allows for system-level studies on hybrid energy systems combining wind power with solar, batteries or other renewables.
