The AAC is beginning an initiative to fund one of the OU School of Geosciences annual departmental field trips! Both of these field trips have a positive impact on the school's incoming students. We want your input on which of the following field trips our council will focus our efforts on.

1) First-Year (Freshman) Field Trip: Colorado (at field camp) - 7 days

2) New Graduate Student Field Trip: Oklahoma - 3 days

The School of Geosciences will be hosting the Spring Break Student Expo on Friday, March 13. This year’s Spring Expo will include a poster session for students to showcase their research, awards for poster presentations, short courses, exhibitor booths, and the opportunity for organizations to network with potential employees. We are in need of volunteers to judge poster presentations. Winning posters carry substantial cash prizes so it is important to have a sufficient number of judges to give students’ work the attention it deserves.If you are interested in judging poster presentations, please email Ashley Tullius ([email protected]).
