Big congratulations to Matt on successfully completing his Bell 206B Initial Course at Bell! This is a huge milestone and another step toward bringing world-class Bell training to Semper Fly Helicopters.

Matt is now well on his way to completing the Instructor Pilot Course and becoming our Bell Certified Training Facility pilot. We couldn’t be more proud of the hard work and dedication he’s putting into this program.

This is more than just an accomplishment for Matt. It’s another major step forward for Semper Fly as we continue building opportunities for the helicopter community and raising the standard in flight training.

We’re excited to announce that we are preparing to begin scheduling Bell 206B3 Initial and Recurrent Training. It’s been a lot of hard work to get to this point, and we’re looking forward to supporting pilots and operators with high-quality, professional training right here at Semper Fly.

Congratulations to Brighton on passing her Private Pilot checkride today! This is such a huge accomplishment and one that takes a lot of hard work, determination, and perseverance. There are long days, challenging lessons, and moments where you have to push yourself, but today it all paid off.

One of the best parts of this job is getting messages like this.

A few weeks ago, Pete came to Semper Fly for recurrent training while preparing for an Air Methods interview. He spent some time flying with Andrew, knocking the rust off, talking through scenarios, and getting ready for the opportunity he had been working toward.

On June 1, Pete sent us this message.

What really stood out to me was that one of the interview questions was almost identical to a scenario Andrew had challenged him with during training. When the question came up, Pete already had a framework for how to think through it because they had talked about it in the helicopter.

That is what good instruction is all about.

It’s easy to focus on flight hours, checkrides, and certificates, but sometimes it’s a conversation, a lesson, or a scenario that ends up making the difference. Knowing that something taught during a few flights helped Pete walk into that interview with confidence is pretty special.

Pete, congratulations on the job with Air Methods. We’re excited for you and grateful that we got to be a small part of your journey.

Andrew, thank you for the care and effort you put into your students every day. Moments like this are a reminder that what instructors do matters.
