#283 Briana “BellaKaïori” Taylor

Gamma Mom: Elise “Elestai” Moore

Major: Industrial and Systems Engineering

Classification: Sophomore

Hometown: Houston, TX
Ethnicity: Black American & Haitian

: “The motto “Culture is pride, pride is success” is something that stuck with me since I came on campus. My own culture and identity as a black woman has always been something I’ve been proud of and having this group on campus that embraces all different cultures made me interested. Also, seeing the active members be so proud of who they are and active in their own communities inspired me. SLG always felt like a kind and welcoming space, and joining has truly shown me that. My chapter loves me for who I am and accepts me for all my quirks, and I deeply love them.

: “Coming to OU, I had no idea about Gamma or MGC. After meeting some great friends that introduced me to the culture here and learning more about what each group had to offer, I became very interested in getting to know more about SLG. Anytime I saw Gammas as a whole or individually, I would be captivated by the light of their presence on campus. I wanted to take a chance on myself and try something new with Gamma so that I can not only share my light with others, but to become a part of a community that strives to celebrate all cultures and build a better world for everyone.”

Marian, you bring so much joy, warmth and positivity to our chapter each and everyday. Xi Beta could not be prouder of who you are and who you are becoming. Congratulations!💋

Introducing the SENSATIONAL SEVEN of our Spring 2026 Floret-Lux Fyah Fyète Kuīncem Xi Alpha Line ❤️‍🔥!

#281 Ruby Florence “Liretz’a” Kibuka

Gamma Mom: Regina “Primízra” Pranin Guillen

Major : Biology Pre-med
Minor: Psychology

Classification: Sophomore

Hometown: Tulsa, OK
Ethnicity: Jamaican and Ugandan

: “The reason I joined SLG was because of the strong sense of community I found within the organization. When I first came to college, I only knew a handful of people, and stepping into a new environment felt overwhelming at times. However, after attending my first MGC showcase and Rush Events, I had the opportunity to meet people from many different organizations, and SLG immediately stood out to me. Gamma created a space where I felt welcomed, valued, and inspired, while also showing me the true importance of community.

Seeing women who continuously uplift not only their own community but also individuals near and far made me realize that this was an organization I wanted to be a part of. As a first-generation college student, moving away from family was not easy, but Gamma became a support system that helped me grow into a stronger version of myself. Through this organization, I have learned how to strengthen my advocacy for myself and others, build support within my community, and carry myself as a woman who holds herself to high standards.

SLG has given me more than friendships, it has given me a sense of belonging, empowerment, and purpose, and for that I will always be grateful.”

Ruby, you are such a bright and genuine soul. Whether it’s through your creativity, your kindness, or your ability to make everyone feel seen, you leave such a meaningful impact on the people around you. Xi Beta is so lucky to grow alongside you and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you. Congratulations!💋

I deeply connected with many siblings outside of campus and seeing their authenticity and commitment in wanting to better their community, I recognized that I desired the same thing. This group of women encouraged me and saw the potential in me, leading me to choose this distinct group of women. Thank you to those who continue to support me! I can’t wait to see what opportunities come with being a panther and I’m excited to see what’s next!”

Karla, Xi Beta is so lucky to have your heart within our chapter. You give so much love to the people around you without ever asking for anything in return, and that kind of love is rare. #279 Kiley Diana “Aelunaíra” Revels

Gamma Mom: Litseg “Kaílyria” Del Val

Major : Sports Business & Marketing

Classification: Sophomore

Hometown: Garland, TX
Ethnicity: Mexican American

: “As a first generation student and only child, navigating college has been both exciting and overwhelming. Coming into a new environment without always knowing what to expect has pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best ways. Through the rush process, I found myself surrounded by a group of women who inspire, uplift, and support one another while also giving back to the community. That sense of connection is what drew me to SLG.

Being a mixed girl comes with some challenges, especially when it feels difficult to fully belong or feel accepted in every part of who you are. Because of that, finding a community where I feel supported, understood, and encouraged means so much to me. I am beyond grateful to be a part of an organization that embraces my culture and motivates me to become the best version of myself while having a positive impact on others.”

Kiley, the kind of light you carry is impossible to ignore. You make people feel welcomed, loved, and safe simply by being yourself, and Xi Beta is so lucky to know that version of you. We could not be prouder of who you are and who you are becoming! Congratulations! 💋

: “Finding connections amongst new individuals has always remained a challenge for me, until I met the women of SLG. Gammas provided me with a sense of belonging and a community I could rely on. I no longer felt the need to make myself smaller, but instead take up the space I deserve. I find that when attending a PWI, it is important to find people you can connect with and who support your goals. SLG has provided me a space to grow into the best version of myself and be a part of a greater change. I am grateful to be surrounded by such empowering and intelligent siblings who push me towards achieving greatness and support me throughout the ups and downs. I believe I can inspire people the same way SLG has inspired me to become the community you seek to be a part of.”

Introducing the TENACIOUS TRE of our Spring 2026 Floret-Lux Fyah Fyète Kuīncem Xi Alpha Line ❤️‍🔥!

#277 Trysten “Valenzía” Williams

Gamma Mom: Regina “Primízra” Pranin Guillen

Major : Public Relations
Minor: Digital Marketing

Classification: Transfer Junior

Hometown: Oklahoma City, OK
Ethnicity: African American

: “I’ve always kind of done my own thing. In high school, I worked hard to earn my associate’s degree in Journalism and Broadcasting while also completing my high school diploma at the same time. I’m really grateful for that accomplishment and the experience it gave me, but it also set me apart from a lot of the students around me who were taking a more traditional educational path.

When I came to OU, I transferred in as a junior right out of high school. Even though I was academically ahead, I was surrounded by people who were older, more experienced, and already established in their communities. I felt out of place and honestly pretty alone, like I was missing that sense of belonging everyone else seemed to already have.

SLG stood out to me as soon as I went to one of my best friend’s probates in 2023. I remember seeing how diverse and welcoming everyone was, and it immediately felt different from anything else I had seen. I knew I wanted to be part of an environment where diversity was prioritized and where I could meet people I genuinely connected with. When I got to OU and started feeling lost, I kept thinking back to SLG and feeling like that was where I was supposed to be — and I wasn’t wrong.”

Trysten, your compassion, humor, and creativity are what makes you so unique. You lead with the best intentions in mind. Xi Beta is so glad to have you here and watch you flourish. Congratulations! 💋

Introducing the DIRTY DEUCE of our Spring 2026 Floret-Lux Fyah Fyète Kuīncem Xi Alpha Line ❤️‍🔥!

#276 Julianna “Zule’kesila” Rodriguez

Gamma Mom: Blythe “Dagetshíla” Graves

Major : Marketing & Supply Chain Management

Classification: Sophomore

Hometown: Dallas, TX
Ethnicity: Mexican

: “Coming to OU as a first-generation college student, I felt out of place in classrooms where I didn’t see many people who looked like me or shared similar experiences. As the oldest and only girl with three younger brothers looking up to me, I’ve always carried the responsibility of setting the example not only for myself, but for my family and the Rodriguez name.

Moving away from home and navigating college came with struggles that challenged me mentally, emotionally, and academically. There were moments when I questioned if I truly belonged, but Sigma Lambda Gamma gave me the community I had been searching for. SLG showed me genuine love, respect, and support from strong, independent women who reminded me that my voice, my culture, and my presence matter.

Being surrounded by women who continuously uplift and inspire me has pushed me to grow into someone I never knew I was capable of becoming. Through every obstacle, I’ve learned resilience, confidence, and the importance of embracing who I am unapologetically. I strive every day to make my family proud, to continue paving the way for my younger brothers, and to show them that our dreams are possible too.

I may be the first in my family to walk this path, but I will not be the last.”

Julianna, your determination and caring nature are just some of the things we admire about you. Throughout the semester we have seen you work hard and flourish. We are so happy to welcome you to our chapter. Congratulations! 💋

Gamma Mom: Chelsey “Rinodorsi” Caldwell

Major : Petroleum Engineering
Minors: Geology and Spanish

Classification: Transfer Freshman

Hometown: Midwest City/ Spencer, OK
Ethnicity: African American and Mexican American

: “All my life I have searched for a group that welcomed and accepted me as I am. Being African American and Mexican American has come with many challenges, especially when making friends and learning about my culture. After being introduced to Gamma, I immediately felt welcomed and appreciated.

I am the oldest of two siblings and was the first in my family to receive a degree in higher education. I strive to show my siblings that it is possible to be a full time student, full time worker, and achieve academic and social excellence without feeling spread thin. My siblings will have a positive role model during their time through school. I want to be someone my 7 year old self would admire so my sister will follow in my footsteps and my brother will be proud. My siblings and family are my biggest why in everything I do.”

Giyonnah, your strength and resilience are just some of the things we love about you. Your love and hard work shine through in everything you do. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see you flourish. Congratulations! 💋
