Entertainment has made human trafficking out to be something that takes place internationally and is only conducted by large groups of organized criminals. However, when we think about human trafficking as something so large-scale and far away, we miss that human trafficking is happening and can happen all around us. A trafficker can be anyone: a parent, a friend, a student, maybe even a well-respected community member. Some traffickers may just have two or three people they exploit regularly. While gangs and organized crime organizations are certainly heavily involved in human trafficking, it’s important not to overlook small-scale operations that easily stay under the radar.

At Dragonfly, we provide services for victim-survivors of human trafficking, including therapy, transportation, and much more. One service we regularly provide to the people we serve is providing basic necessities. This includes also providing for survivors who will live in our future Transition Home. Contact Jessica at [email protected] to donate or learn more!
