Jr High/HS class list. Please note my Ag Welding class. You will need all these items, especially the clothing. You will not be welding in anything but proper PPE. Denim jeans (no frayed BS either), closed toe leather shoes/boots and a jacket or fire resistant natural fiber shirt. I provide welding jackets and hoods. The hoods are passive, they are tinted all the time. If you want something else you need to provide it.
I will not be providing storage for boots/clothing anymore. You will need to come to class dressed and ready to weld. I’ve found that the storage room becomes a mess if I provide storage for clothes/boots. You have a locker you can use.

We held our horseshoe tournament today in Cave In Rock. The team of Ben Flatt and John Hall took first place and the team of Katrina Hall and Natalie Hall finished second.

We also held a 50/50 raffle. Barb Jones won the raffle.

Five members traveled to Springfield to participate in the 98th Illinois FFA Convention. General sessions, business session and workshops. Tomorrow morning they will participate in the election of the next state officer team.

Be sure and join us Saturday June 13 and the riverfront in Rosiclare!! We will also have a 50/50 raffle going on. All proceeds go to our FFA chapter.
Planning on having a “point series” this Summer/Fall. We will be set up in Cave in Rock the following weekend (I believe that’s the correct day) Saturday June 20. And then planning to be at the Fluorspar celebration in Rosiclare in October. Still working on the details but there will be plaques/trophies for those that earn the most “points” at these three events.
Looking forward to seeing everyone June 13.
