Despite the heat, our Redbird Engineers put their transmitter skills to the test, racing to track down as many hidden transmitters as possible! ☀️🔍

A huge thank you to Keysight Careers and IEEE Student Branch at ISU for hosting and giving our students another opportunity to put their engineering skills into action!

Festival ISU 2026 was a great day for our Redbird Engineering RSOs!

Our engineering student organizations were out in full force connecting with Redbirds and sharing ways to get involved!

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) even received a visit from President Tarhule!
MotorBirds and AeroBirds had so much interest they practically ran out of flyers!
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) kept the crowd engaged with some competitive Rock, Paper, Scissors for giveaways!
And the ISU Chess Club, led by one of our very own Redbird Engineers, had a great day as well!

Getting involved is such an important part of the college experience. Whether you’re looking to build your professional network, develop new skills, work on exciting projects, or simply find your community, there’s a place for you!

We encourage all interested Redbirds to get connected and GET INVOLVED! 🙌

The IEEE Student Branch at ISU , in partnership with Keysight Solution Partners , is hosting a Fox Hunt on Monday, August 31 from 1:00–3:00 p.m.!

Never heard of a Fox Hunt? Teams use radio direction-finding and signal clues to track down a hidden transmitter—the “fox.” 🔍📡

No experience needed! Everything will be explained at kickoff, so come ready to learn, compete, and have some fun!

It was a pleasure welcoming the Admissions at Illinois State Tour Team to the Engineering Building yesterday!

Campus tour guides play such a vital role in showing our what makes Illinois State University such an amazing place. Our guides left Campus East with even more Redbird Engineering knowledge to share with prospective students and families on their tours!

CEG is also lucky to have one of our outstanding engineering students serving on the Admissions Tour Team and representing both the College and the University! 🙌
