Snapshot from FCS 323: Advanced Textiles Lab!

Students were busy conducting abrasion resistance tests, evaluating textile performance, and discussing their results with their groups. Lots of testing, teamwork, and a few laughs along the way—hopefully one of those lab-day memories they’ll look back on fondly after graduation! 😊

🎓 2026–27 Annual FDM Fall Meeting

We kicked off the academic year with our annual FDM Fall Meeting, where students learned about opportunities and resources to help them succeed in the Fashion Design & Merchandising program.

The meeting included updates on what’s new in FDM courses, RSOs, the May 2027 London & Paris Study Abroad Tour, internship opportunities with the Lois Jett Historical Costume Collection, and other FDM resources and opportunities.

A special thank you to Brice Banning, Caroline Behary, and Kathryn Baker for sharing their internship experiences, application process, and what they learned with fellow FDM students.

It was a great way to start the year, connect with one another, and learn how to make the most of the FDM experience! ❤️

Couldn’t make it to the event? You can still get involved! We encourage all FDM students to join our FDM RSOs and engage in extracurricular activities. It’s a great way to build your network, develop leadership skills, gain industry experience, and make the most of your time at ISU! ❤️🖤
