Students in Ms. Smith’s social studies class partnered with the Office of Civic Engagement to identify a real issue in their community and develop a detailed, actionable plan to address the issue using the strategies from the “Wheel of Social Change.” Taking the project a step further, Sophie Cook took the initiative to put her plan into action by hosting “A Day of Dance,” an interactive workshop meant for all, regardless of experience.

Freshmen World Studies students in Mrs. Schmidt and Dr. Pettit’s class are putting their teamwork skills to work! Working together, students created a map of the world and practiced periodization—organizing history into meaningful periods to better understand how the past unfolds over time. Sra. O’Donnell’s Spanish 2 class experienced a Kindergarten Day today! They had class outside and reviewed basic Spanish 1 skills like colors, days of the week, and birthdays with games, songs, and a nature scavenger hunt!
