Alpha Delta Pi at Illinois State University 💎✨🪩
ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY
ZETA THETA CHAPTER Our chapter at Illinois State University was chartered in 1973.

Our story begins in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, where six incredible women changed the world. Led by Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald, our founders formed The Adelphean Society for “the mental, moral, social, and domestic improvement of its members.” The Adelphean Society, later renamed Alpha Delta Pi, was the first secret society for college women. The principles of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood, and service guide over 215,000 women in more than 140 active collegiate chapters and over 150 alumnae associations of Alpha Delta Pi.

Hazing Prevention Week 💙🩵

Max Gruver was a college freshman whose life was tragically cut short because of hazing in 2017. In his memory, his parents founded the Max Gruver Foundation to educate others and work toward a future free from hazing. Max’s mom, Rae Ann, is an Alpha Delta Pi sister, making his story especially meaningful to our sisterhood. This Hazing Prevention Week, we honor Max’s memory and reaffirm our commitment to creating a sisterhood rooted in respect, safety, and looking out for one another. 🤍

Sisterhood should never come at the expense of someone’s safety or well-being. This Hazing Prevention Week, we’re reminded that true sisterhood is built on respect, trust, and making sure every member feels valued, supported, and safe. 🫂

Join us and Sigma Chi at Illinois State University next week on the quad—September 30th to sign the pledge against hazing on campus.
