Heartland Community College is looking for Adult Education instructors to teach GED prep classes. This is a part-time, temporary job starting in the fall 2026 semester. It’s a perfect option for retirees, parents wanting to work while kids are in school, or anyone needing some extra income. Pay starts at $29.50/instructional hour.
We are looking for instructors for the following classes:
• GED prep class at the Junction in Bloomington—Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am-12 pm. This instructor would teach reading, writing, science, social studies, and math.
• GED Math prep class at the HCC Normal Campus—Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am-12:30 pm. This instructor would only teach math.
• GED prep class at the HCC Pontiac Campus—Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 pm. This instructor would teach reading, writing, science, social studies, and math.
