Thursday is the first day of school! We can’t wait to see you all! Elementary parent drop off is on the north side of the building 7:25-7:45. Early Learning car or walking drop off is at door A (west side) and is at 7:40 for AM and 11:40 for PM. Dismissal times:
Early Learning: AM: 10:15; PM: 2:15. Elementary: 2:30.

Be sure to use cross walks and be aware of buses in the bus lanes. Stay safe!

Bus riders- be sure to have your swipe card.

Even though we are on summer break, there is activity in the building including Normal Parks and Rec classes and Normal Police Kid’s Camp. Today we were surprised by a learning activity for Police Camp- the Life Flight Crew stopped by!

SAVE THE DATE! Back 2 School Alliance will host its annual back-to-school event, providing free backpacks and school supplies to eligible PreK-8 students in Unit 5 on August 13! Eligible students will receive an email that includes a form to be completed in advance of the event to confirm attendance. Forms have not been sent yet, but will be sent out soon.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 13 at State Farm Corporate South. The address is 3 State Farm Plaza, Bloomington, IL, 61704, East Parking Deck. Students PreK-8 must be present and accompanied by an adult or guardian to receive supplies and a backpack. The event is a drive-thru, so please plan to arrive in a car.

Unit 5 is proud to offer free breakfast and lunch at nine locations this summer for youth under 18 years of age. Meals start tomorrow at some sites! The last days of (Pre-K) school are always bittersweet! Two Dads(Pikachu and Unicorn) helped the staff with the final farewell. Thanks for a great year! Have a great summer.
