We hope you are well and in great spirits! We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2026โ2027 school year, and we cannot wait to see our scholars shine. Our doors officially open on Monday, August 24, 2026 โ and we are ready for OUR NEW STORY "To Accreditation & Beyond!"

Meet & Greet
Please join us for our Meet & Greet on Friday, August 21st from 1PMโ 3PM! This is a wonderful opportunity to visit your child's classroom, meet their teacher, drop off school supplies, and get settled before the first day. We can't wait to see your smiling faces!
๐ SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Each grade level's supply list is attached to this post! Please locate your child's grade-level section and gather supplies before Meet & Greet โ you're welcome to drop them off in the classroom on August 21st.
๐ Please label ALL items with your child's full name.
๐ Supplies like pencils, glue sticks, and tissues may need to be replenished throughout the year. Please plan to restock as needed or when the teacher requests.
๐ณ BREAKFAST & LUNCH
๐ Free breakfast AND lunch is offered to ALL scholars every day!
You may send a lunch from home as well โ your child will still be offered the school lunch
โ ๏ธ Please notify your child's teacher AND the school nurse of any food allergies.
๐ MEDICATIONS
If your child requires medication at school, please note:
-A valid physician's order for this school year is required
-All prescription medication must be in pharmacy-labeled packaging
-Medication must be hand-delivered by an adult to our school nurse.
-Only prescribed medication will be accepted and administered
๐ SCHOOL UNIFORMS
Coleman Place is a uniform school. Please dress your scholar accordingly:
๐ Top: Burgundy polo shirt
๐ Bottom: Tan or khaki pants, skirts, shorts, or skorts
Coleman Place is more than a school โ it is a community, and you are an essential part of it. This year, as we open our doors and welcome our scholars home, we do so knowing that our greatest strength lies in the partnership between families and educators. This fun-filled event includes backpack and school supply distribution, community resources and more! Open to Norfolk elementary, middle and high school students and their families.

Our little leaders are moving up! We are so incredibly proud of our Pre-K4 students and canโt wait to celebrate this special milestone with all of our amazing families. ๐
Here is everything you need to know for the big day:
๐๏ธ Date: Thursday, May 21st
โฐ Time: 9:30 AM (Doors open for parents at 9:15 AM)
๐ Location: School Gym
๐ Dress Code: Dress to impress!
๐ต Our rising kindergarteners have been practicing hard to sing a few songs, and they will be officially receiving their completion certificates and medals! ๐
๐ Important Note for Dismissal: After the ceremony, students can either stay for their normal school day or be signed out in the main office to head home early and celebrate with family.
