Northeast Nebraska Track and Field Classic The Northeast Nebraska Track and Field Classic: Where the Elite Meet! Denny Fuehrer was a long time sports editor for the Norfolk Daily News.

We will be honoring past MVP's (Denny Fuehrer Outstanding Award Winners) at the 2014 meet. He was a dedicated reporter who spent an untold amount of time on the road covering all sporting events in Northeast Nebraska. Denny in particular loved track and field. A native of Sioux Falls South Dakota, Denny held tracksters in very high regard and loved to cover the area track meets. It was not unusual

to see Denny at several meets in one day. This award is given by the Daily News in honor of his love or the sport and the individuals competing in it. The Denny Fuehrer Outstanding Athlete Award is given to an individual based on their performance during the Norfolk Track and Field Classic. The individual selected is chosen by a group of coaches and members of the media. Denny Fuehrer Outstanding Athlete Award Winners Include:
