We had a great first week at Westside Elementary--even if it was a little wet! Pictured are some of our 4th grade students working with our kindergarten students in the lunch room. When older students help younger students, it creates a powerful and positive community. The 4th graders got to work on their leadership skills and our kindergartners met some role models. Good job everyone!

We are getting excited to meet our students for the new year! Open House at Westside Elementary is tonight (August 11) from 5:30-6:30 pm. Come meet your new teacher and see your new classroom! Kindergarten students and new students to Westside, please use Door 1, all other students can use Door 2 or Door 8. See you there!

Today is Principal's Day! We want to recognize Mr. Lichty and thank him for all that he does!

The Westside Carnival will be Friday, May 8th from 5:30-7:30 pm. There will be Food Trucks available in the parking lot along with snow cones ($2.00) and bottles of water ($1.00). Tickets will be $.25 per game.
We are asking for donations for the game prizes--
Kindergarten, 1st grade and Mrs. Prokopec's 2nd grade are asked to bring movie theater candy. Mrs. Brommer's 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade are asked to bring 2-litter bottles of pop. All prizes can be dropped off at the office or sent to school with your students anytime before Friday afternoon. Hope to see everyone for this fun event!
