The past two days have been heartbreaking as our Monarch Nation lost one of our own, Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, and two students were injured due to senseless violence.
As we grieve together and support our fellow Monarchs, we are and forever will be Monarch Strong.

Meet Emily Raines, the team lead clinical laboratory scientist at North Battlefield VA Clinic! 🧪
She’s standing next to one of the most important tools in the lab — the chemistry analyzer!
This high-tech instrument reads, measures, and performs efficient testing to help your healthcare team understand what’s going on inside your body. The results from testing are used by doctors to assess many things including heart health, kidney function, liver function, and even hormones, to name a few. From basic chemistry tests, like glucose and electrolytes, to more specific testing like prostatic specific antigen (PSA) and pregnancy tests, this chemistry department is the highest volume area of the lab.
When your doctor sends you for lab work, most of those tests are run on this machine, to show a full picture of your health.
