The Monarchy is a student organization at Old Dominion University designed for the Bachelor of Music Audio Recording program. It is open to all who are interested in recording, audio engineering, mastering, mixing, etc. We meet every Thursday during activity hour (12:30-1:30) in the Diehn building Rm. 1204 (Recording Studio).

Controlling Mic Preamps From Pro Tools - Part 1
In this 2 part article, I describe how to setup and configure the Avid PRE
to be remote controlled directly from Pro Tools. Up to 9 of these 8 channel
preamps can be connected to a single Pro Tools HD system, providing up to
72 simultaneous microphone inputs, all of which can be controlled over a
standard MIDI connection.
In part 1 I look at how to make the audio and MIDI connections and how to
then configure MIDI in Audio MIDI Steup (for mac users) or MIDI Studio
Setup (for Windows users).
