Now booking auditions for Seussical! (All ages welcome)

From Horton the Elephant and the Cat in the Hat to Gertrude McFuzz and JoJo, this magical musical is filled with unforgettable characters, incredible music, and heartwarming lessons for performers of all ages.

The Cat In The Hat
Our story’s energetic narrator, fun loving, wise and attentive, can be a male or female.

Jojo
The Mayor’s son, he is a Who that is always finding trouble. Bright, creative, and inadvertently mischievous. Possesses a wildly expansive imagination and finds solace in his friendship with Horton.

Horton The Elephant
A compassionate and gentle elephant. Commonly misunderstood because of his larger size. He is protective and loving of all creatures in the jungle.

Gertrude Mcfuzz
Horton’s one-feathered-tail bird neighbor. Gertrude is sweet and timid.

Mayzie Labird
A showgirl, the most flamboyant bird in all the jungle. A true manipulator.

The Sour Kangaroo
The ‘leader’ of the jungle, loud, brassy, and stubbornly set in her ways. A caring mother, but unabashedly sassy and soulful.

The Wickersham Brothers
Rapping and dancing monkeys

Mr. Mayor and Mrs. Mayor
The leaders of Whoville and parents to JoJo

General Genghis Khan Schmitz,
The overbearing, war-crazy general who runs a strict military academy in Whoville.

SUMMER ADVENTURE ALERT!

The Hurrah Players are heading to the Outer Banks for our annual unforgettable trip to see the legendary outdoor drama THE LOST COLONY live on stage — and YOU are invited!

Get ready for a full day packed with Outer Banks fun that includes
Wright Brothers National Memorial, Avalon Fishing Pier, Jockey’s Ridge, Shopping, YMCA Pool Time and then enjoy the incredible Lost Colony theatre experience under the stars!

Time: 8:30 AM – 12:00 AM
$80 per person - includes bus transportation, ticket to see the Lost Colony, YMCA pool, Wright Brothers National Memorial.

If you live in Moyock, the bus will pick you up at the Food Lion there

This trip is open to all Hurrah campers, Summer Intensive students, current students, and families!
