From Monarch to the world’s biggest stage. 🌎⚽
As FIFA’s government and public affairs coordinator for the City of Dallas, Old Dominion University alumna Feliz Stafford (B.A. ’19) helped prepare the city to host nine FIFA World Cup matches, the most of any host city in North America.
Drawing on the leadership she developed as a student-athlete and political science and international relations graduate, she’s helping create a lasting global impact.

The Joint School of Public Health has officially earned accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)!
This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, students, alumni and community partners who helped build a school committed to advancing health, equity and impact across Virginia and beyond.
accreditation is the gold standard for public health education, affirming that our programs meet rigorous national standards and prepare graduates to tackle today’s most pressing public health challenges.
As the first and only school of public health in Virginia operated jointly by two universities, Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University, this milestone marks an exciting new chapter in our journey.
Thank you to all who made this accomplishment possible, including the Commonwealth of Virginia and Sentara Health. The future of public health is bright, and we’re just getting started.

Old Dominion University announced its plans for constructing a world-class Engineering and Arts Building, representing the largest capital investment in the University’s history.
With more than 140,000 square feet, the three-story building is designed to house premier research environments, featuring advanced maker spaces and robotics labs, alongside collaborative design studios and exhibition areas for the University’s creative disciplines.
