Old Dominion University’s forward-focused momentum continues, where enrollment saw a 14.5% rise for Fall 2026 as ODU welcomes over 24,000 students for the first time in five years.

The University also saw significant increases in its freshmen, graduate, and online students as well as maintaining a strong retention rate.

“Bread + Puppet Theater: Sculpture in Action” recently opened at the Gordon Art Galleries, bringing more than six decades of puppetry, performance and visual storytelling to campus.

In remembrance of Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, Old Dominion University unveiled a solid granite statue that will forever symbolize the strength and massive impact he had on our community.

In addition, the ROTC Annex of Rollins Hall will be renamed to the Lieutenant Colonel Brandon A. Shah Wing. The corner of S.B. Ballard Stadium under the scoreboard is now named Shah’s Corner in his honor.

These monuments stand as a permanent reminder of Lt. Col. Shah’s bravery and continued legacy.
