Welcome Back, Pirates! Students and parents were welcomed back at morning drop off by faculty and staff. After settling in to the classroom, the students attended a morning prayer service where they received a first day of school blessing by our Principal, Mr. Zafra and Sr. Rita.
As we prepare to welcome our students for their first day of school tomorrow morning, our Director of Development, Vy Barto, shares her writing assignment when she started middle school at St. Pius X many years ago. Tomorrow, many children will feel the same nervousness and excitement as they begin their school year with new teachers and classmates. We pray everyone has a great day tomorrow and a wonderful school year!
We are looking forward to welcome all of our students for the first day of school tomorrow! We pray for them and their families.
The first day of school is approaching, and we encourage you to pray for the students in our diocese as they prepare themselves for the new school year! We pray that our youth have an enriching year and can grow academically and spiritually.
The last 2 days of teacher work week included additional trainings and meeting, but mostly time for our teachers to finish setting up their classrooms in preparation of the first day of school. Several families got sneak peeks of their children’s new classrooms and met their teachers during supply drop off.
Praying for a safe and successful year for the teachers and staff at St. Pius X and all teachers! Thank you for answering the call to serve God’s children.
We encourage you to please keep teachers in your prayers as they prepare themselves and their classrooms for the back-to-school season. We are so thankful for all our Catholic educators for guiding our children both spiritually and academically.

Day two of our Teacher Work Week. Today the staff and faculty had their off-site retreat. We spent time talking about faith, culture, and values; we spent time in prayer and adoration; and had a special guest speaker, Mrs. Barbara Hughes, who spoke to us about Mary, the new Eve. We were treated to a delicious lunch sponsored by our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Thank you!
Please note: our school offices will be closed today as the staff will be offsite for a retreat. Please pray for our faculty and staff that they have a successful retreat.
