Here's your (not so) totally useless facts of the day:

Most people stop listening to new music at age 33. A 2015 Spotify study found that overall listening time doesn’t drop as we age — we simply replace current music trends with replaying what we already know.

Why Taste Freezes at Age 33

Nostalgia & Formative Years:
Listeners regularly drift back to the music that was popular when they were coming of age (roughly ages 13 to 22).
Genre Diversification: Adults tend to branch out into specific, less-mainstream genres (like jazz, classical, or indie) rather than following the Top 40.
Life Events: Responsibilities like work and parenting accelerate this shift; data shows having children ages a person's "music relevancy" by about four years.
