First FFA Meeting and welcome night brought members together to kick some water slide kickball and introductions around. Officers got their first chance to lead and members got a chance to meet a few older members.

FFA members reap the tubers they sowed. Members are learning about scientific names, varieties, and hybrids. Plus, the members will use the potatoes to learn about how to use microscopes by comparing the cells of the potato skin, flesh and plant.

Long distance Chapter Connect Zoom call today for the FFA. Members had a chance to learn about the Kiona-Benton City FFA through a National FFA project. The far off Kiona-Benton FFA is from Washington state and will be working with the Norfolk members to do a project together in their communities.

Norfolk FFA classes are off and going. Classes are learning about agronomic integrated pest management, crop identification, animal history, cell biology and tree identification to kick off the year.

Welcome Night’s annual water kickball is at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 25th.

Drew showed off his hard work at the Madison County Fair and came away with the Grand Champion Goat Showman, Reserve Champion Sheep Showman, Grand and Reserve Champion Market Goats and Breeding Goats, and piles of other purple and blue awards in the sheep and goat market and breeding classes.

The fair tables are sparkling and if anyone is coming to the fair or bored this evening, come out to the fair to help Ms Marotz from 7-11 pm tonight.
