Founded in 1978, SECEP functions as a regional public school serving the Hampton Roads Communities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton, Suffolk and Virginia Beach. Mr. Walburn brings a wealth of educational experience to his new position. He has served as an Assistant Principal with Chesapeake Public Schools and SECEP, and has been dedicated to the field of education since 2001. His extensive leadership experience, commitment to student success, and passion for supporting educators make him an outstanding addition to the administrative team at Renaissance Academy.

Ms. Daniels most recently served as the Educational Specialist for Kings Grant and Windsor Woods, where she consistently demonstrated exceptional instructional leadership, a passion for student success, and a strong commitment to supporting staff and families. Prior to joining SECEP in August 2025, Ms. Daniels began her educational career in 2014 as a teacher with Nash County Public Schools.

We are excited to see the leadership, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking she will bring to the Norfolk Center.

Mrs. Bullock began her educational career with Baltimore City Public Schools before joining SECEP in 2017 as a Special Education Teacher. Since then, she has served in several leadership roles, including Educational Specialist and Assistant Principal. Her dedication to student achievement, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to excellence have made her an invaluable member of the SECEP leadership team.
We are confident she will continue to inspire students, staff, and families in her new role.
