A HUGE congratulations goes out to senior Thomas Hobbs, who was honored today for two outstanding academic achievements. Thomas scored a perfect 36 on the ACT, a feat accomplished by less than 1/2 of 1% of all test-takers nationwide!

Mr. McCleese and Ms. Hilliard also had the honor of presenting him with his National Merit Scholarship “Commended Scholar” award today, given to students whose junior PSAT scores ranked in the top 3% of the nation.

We couldn’t be prouder of Thomas’s hard work and dedication to scholarship, and can’t wait to see the plan God has for him unfold!

Ever wonder why a broken cracker or the “wrong” cup can turn into a full meltdown? Kids’ big reactions to small problems make a lot more sense once you understand what’s actually happening in their brains and bodies in that moment.

Join us for a parent coffee talk with Julie Smead, MA, LPC, and Allison Picini of Restore Counseling & Wellness, as they team up to talk with our parents about helping elementary-age kids manage worry, frustration, and emotional overwhelm — without having to fix every hard feeling for them.

They’ll cover:
→ what’s going on in the brain during a meltdown
→ what actually helps in the moment (and what doesn’t)
→ how to build your kid’s coping skills over time

Jeremy Miller, pastor of The Garden Co. Church, spoke from Acts 1 in chapel this morning, encouraging students to continue building on the ways the Holy Spirit moved in their lives during retreat. Join us in praying that God continues to work in the hearts of our students!
