Crusader family, It is with a heavy heart we share the news of the passing of Tony Guzzo ’67. Indeed a great loss to our community. Tony was a proud member of the Norfolk Catholic Class of 1967 and was a standout for the Crusaders in both football and baseball. After earning his degree from East Carolina University in 1972, where he played both football and baseball, he returned and became the head coach at his alma mater. During his time here, he led the Crusaders to four consecutive Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools titles, achieving an impressive record of 86-33. Following this success, he returned to ECU as a graduate assistant before taking on the head coaching role at North Carolina Wesleyan in 1979.

The Norfolk Catholic High School Class of 1959 celebrated their 65th reunion last week! They celebrated with a two-day event ending at Brooke Witt's home, overlooking Rudee Inlet. The reunion was a great success!
