Shining light on our Scholar Temzel Nedab who is a rising senior at Norfolk State University. Here is how his summer is going as we continue our Summer of Success series.

Q: What are you doing this summer?
A: Study Abroad in Ghana, Africa

Q: What skills are you learning?
A: Using media tools and ethics as well as comparing and contrasting how media is in Africa compared to the U.S.

Q: How is this preparing you for your future career?
A: It equipped me with some things that I didn’t have, as well as made me aware of media outlets outside of the states. With this, I have now made connections and broadened my network with media professionals and companies quite literally across the word.

Q: Anything else you'd like to share?
A: Seeing Africa and how different it is makes me want to take initiative and take some things away from as well as give back. In my free time when I wasn’t touring media stations and colleges, I also had the pleasure of donating to and seeing orphanages and pre-schools.
